DESCRIPTION
The Nurse Call is a wireless system designed for health clinics, hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes or houses to aid people with reduced mobility. A call device is installed in each room and is identified by an assigned number. Each call device has as many push-buttons as beds in the room.
When a patient presses the push-button, the call is reported wirelessly to the central receiving station, switching on the LED which corresponds to that patient’s room. At the same time, an audible signal notifies the call.
As long as the calls are active, a “beep” will be heard every 5 seconds in order to alert the assigned caregiver that the calls are pending. The audible signal can be disabled. If the call is pending for more than 5 minutes, the LED will start twinkling to warn about the delay.
To cancel the call, the nurse or assigned caregiver must go to the corresponding room and press the cancel button in the device. As long as the call is active, there will be a twinkling LED in the call device indicating this situation. The system offers a scope of 100 to 116ft (30-35m) between the central receiving station and each call device (assured scope distance with interposed walls). Signal repeaters must be installed when a larger area extension needs to be covered.

Signal Repeater

Corridor lights
The corridor lights are installed above the rooms doors to allow a quick identification of the active calls.

Additional central receiving station
Occasionally, there may be more than one place where to report the warning call, facilitating this way the nurses or assigned caregivers’ movement. Without any trouble, as many stations as necessary can be incorporated providing that they are located within the scope.

Wireless Siren
The Wireless Siren is ideal for large institutions where it is necessary to alert calls from places which are distant from the central receiving station. It is also perfect to be installed in yards or gardens. It has volume control with high power output (115 dB) and check button.

UPS
This equipment is designed to be used when sporadic power cuts occur. Through a backup battery, the UPS supplies power to the central receiving station and/or repeaters, enabling the normal functioning of the whole system even without electric power supply for more than 10 h. In case of power failure, the UPS automatically starts providing energy to the associated devices. It has a power on indicator as well as a lack of power supply indicator.

Receiver Watch
By wearing this watch, the nurse or assigned caregiver is able to receive the rooms’ calls directly in his or her wrist. The receiver watch can be programmed to get all the rooms’ calls or just some of them. In order to be communicated with the rest of the system, a communication base station must be installed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the components of the basic equipment?
The basic equipment includes a wireless central receiving station, a call per room and the connection to the push-button from each call to the room beds. The central receiving station has a LED per room or per bed according to your need.
What is the scope of the equipment?
In an open space the scope is 467ft (140m). Assured scope indoors is 100ft (30m) (with interposed walls). If this distance is exceeded, a repeater must be added to double the scope.
Where are the repeaters set up?
They are set up at a maximum distance of 100ft (30m) from the central receiving station. It must be at an intermediate distance between the central receiving station and the furthest call device.
Could we set up more than a signal repeater?
Yes, in case that the distance surpasses the 200ft (60m), 2 repeaters can be set up. If the building has two wings or corridors of more than 100ft (30m), a repeater per wing must be set up; so no call is further than 100ft (30m) from the central receiving station or some repeater.
Should we set up a signal repeater per out of scope call device?
No, a repeater is enough for all the call devices.
Could the calls be cancelled by the central receiving station?

Yes, the stations are codified and they do not interfere among them. In case that there is more than a nurse office, more than a station could be used in the same building.
Can the calls be reported in more than one place at a time?
Yes, it’s possible using additional stations as long as they are within the system scope.
Can a call device be set up per each room?
Yes, the usual way is to set up a call device per room with its connections to the push -buttons.
Does the equipment recognize the bed which originated the call?
It is offered two options. One is the basic one that only identifies the rooms and the other complete option recognizes the rooms and the beds where the calls were originated.
Must the device be fed with 110V/220V?
The central receiving station, the signal repeater and the corridor lights are fed with 220V through an included power source of 12Vdc. The calls that will be in contact with the patient are fed with three AA batteries. The mobile calls use an A23 battery.
How long do the batteries last?
Using alkaline batteries (included in the equipment) for normal use, the call device lifespan is superior to 5 years. The mobile calls have less lifespan, about 1 year.
How many beds can each call device support?
Each call device supports up to 3 beds.
Can we add more beds in a future?
Yes, as long as it does not surpass the maximum of 3 beds.
Can we add rooms in a future?
Yes, you should send the central receiving station to our offices to add LED lights corresponding to the new rooms.
Could it interfere with others wireless nets like WI FI?
No. It uses a work frequency and each equipment is codified so as to avoid interferences.
In case of failure or breakage of any component, could it be replaced?
If the equipment is within the guarantee year, it is going to be repaired and replaced for free. After the guarantee year, the equipment spare or broken accessory could be asked.
Can the accessories be added in the future?
All the accessories are compatible with the rest of the wireless system and they can be added at any time.
Where are the corridor lights set up?
They are set up above the room door and it is on when the room call is active. They allow nurses or caregivers a quick identification of the active calls.
